Press Packet Dianne Ochiltree has been writing stories and poems since she was a child growing up in Warren, Ohio. Her childhood was filled with dozens of cousins, a parade of pampered pets, and countless well-read books. Today – after twenty-five years as a professional writer – she shares her enthusiasm for reading and creative writing with students of all ages, in school visits and writing workshops. Dianne's critically acclaimed books include Pillow Pup, Ten Monkey Jamboree, Sixteen Runaway Pumpkins and her latest – Lull-a-Bye, Little One. She was also a contributor to the recently released young adult book – Don't Cramp My Style: Stories About That Time of the Month. In addition, she reviews children's books for The Children's Literature Newsletter (www.childrenslit.com), and serves on its advisory board. She is a frequent mentor at the One-on-One Plus Conference sponsored by the Rutgers University Council of Children's Literature (www.ruccl.org) as well as guest speaker at other professional conferences. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (www.scbwi.org), the Florida Library Association, the Florida Writers Association, the Association of Booksellers for Children, the Author's Guild, and several local arts organizations. Dianne lives in Dingman's Ferry, Pennsylvania and Sarasota, Florida with her husband and the family pets.
